Power lines can go through floors and roofs just found this out when i was attempting to do a clean wiring of my somerville place settlement yesterday.
Fallout 4 power through floors.
I don t think wires can transmit through floors but if you have a pylon or any other mounting point on or near the building power should flow freely throughout.
I ve made the basic structure of my vault and on the top floor i ve made a bunch of 4x4 rooms either side of a corridor for settlers however to get the style of the rooms i have i ve had to use various different parts like corner pieces standard walls doors with and without the floor attachment windows with and without the floor attachment etc.
Apparently power lines can clip through most roof and floor pieces as long as it doesn t pass through any walls on its way.

While you might have figured out many of the basics of managing a settlement in fallout 4 you might not be aware of some of the lesser known functions of a settlement including the use of power.
Is there a right or easy way to bring power through the walls.
Non console solutions preferred i play on xb1.
